Jon Gutierrez

Jon is our Director of Gymnastics being responsible for the selection/ development/management of GIM Sports entire coaching operation and programmes. He is eminently qualified for the role, having coached at a senior level for over for 25 years and earned the United States Gymnastics Federation (USGF) Coaching Certification. Previously, Jon was the Gymnastics Head Coach at SACAC, a position he held for 18 years. Prior to his arrival in Singapore, he had also served as one of the coaches of the Philippine Junior National Team.

Heidi Shaughnessy

Before moving to Singapore with my family 3 years ago I was a teacher and also coached at my daughter Abigail's gymnastics club in the UK.

I played Volleyball for many years in the UK National League and I am a qualified Volleyball coach. I also play tennis regularly.

I speak fluent German and currently teach both English and Sports at the German European School.

My family and I love life in Singapore and hope to stay here for many years.

Joy Lau

As a former national gymnast and a member of the Elite National Training Squad, Joy has represented Singapore in various international meets and competitions. Since her retirement from elite competitive training, Joy continues to participate in gymnastics meets as a judge and has been accredited as a Category IIII Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) brevet judge. Joy has also been certified by the Singapore Sports Council as a National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Level One coach.

Cathy Ocampo

Cathy joined us with an impressive set of credentials. For twelve years, stretching from 1981 to 1993, she was a member of the Philippines Gymnastic Team. At the 1991 SEA Games, she won a gold medal in Floor Exercise, a title she successfully defended at the next SEA Games which were held in Singapore.

As well as being USGF certified, Cathy is a qualified Choreographer and is First Aid/CPR trained. Prior to coming on board, she spent more than ten years at SACAC, coaching at all levels, ranging from junior to competitive.
